Triple H has hinted at WWE’s biggest show of the year, WrestleMania, returning to a venue that has hosted the “Grandest Stage of Them All” twice.
Elimination Chamber marked a historic night in Toronto, as the premium live event took place at the Rogers Centre— a venue that previously hosted WrestleMania 6 and WrestleMania 18.
During the post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked whether Toronto could once again play host to WrestleMania. While he did not confirm any plans, he made it clear that the city is under consideration.
“All markets are. That is a different animal now that includes a bidding process and everything that goes into it because it is such a massive business. Hundreds of millions of dollars get poured into the city that brings WrestleMania. The economic impact that we have going into a city with something the scale of WrestleMania is incredible.”
He went on to highlight Toronto’s passionate fanbase and the potential of the Rogers Centre as a suitable venue.
“Any place that has a vibrant fanbase and has a building like the Rogers Centre that we can go into and pack it with a lot of people and get them there from all over the globe, it’s definitely on the list.”
While no official announcement has been made, “The King of Kings” did confirm that Elimination Chamber set a record as the highest-grossing WWE event in Canadian history. The overwhelming success of the show could further strengthen Toronto’s case as a future WrestleMania host city.
Which WWE Star Did Triple H Say Has Become A “Megastar” And Continues To Impress Him?
Triple H said that former two-time Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan has become a “megastar” and continues to impress him with her performances. The Game said that Morgan a year ago would have been described by many as a “good hand,” but since May she has become a huge star for the company and continues to surpass his expectations.
