Triple H Has Surprising View On Infamous WrestleMania Match

Triple H Has Surprising View On Infamous WrestleMania Match:

Triple H still has fond memories of a WrestleMania match that is unlikely to make an appearance on any greatest hits compilations.

The Game was in many featured matches at The Show of Shows in his pro wrestling career and has also headlined the event 7 times [16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25 and 32]. However, when it comes to Triple H’s debut at the event, that match is remembered for all the wrong reasons.

At WrestleMania 12, Hunter Hearst Helmsley made his Mania debut against The Ultimate Warrior. Lasting just over 90 seconds and with Warrior no-selling the Pedigree, the future Cerebral Assassin was squashed at the biggest show of the year.

Looking back on the match while appearing on The Tonight Show, Triple H told Jimmy Fallon that while many see it as an embarrassing moment, he does not feel the same way:

“It’s a funny thing for me. This is my first WrestleMania that I would compete in. For a lot of people, they think this is almost an embarrassing moment in my career for me where I was basically squashed in a couple of minutes by The Ultimate Warrior. But for me, one, it was my first WrestleMania and two, The Ultimate Warrior is one of the biggest stars ever in the WWE. So when they came to me and said you’re going to get to work with The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania I was just out of my mind excited.

That to me is one of my greatest memories. It’s like going to the Super Bowl and you got to throw against Brady or something like that. It was just such a great experience for me and I enjoyed it immensely.”

WWE Star Says They Missed Out On Triple H WrestleMania Entrance

The Game had a number of special entrances for his matches at WrestleMania, especially in the latter stages of his career. While many stars of the future have served as extras in the signature Triple H entrances, one top WWE star admitted that they missed their chance to be a part of it.
