The Way might have only reunited on May 8th, but Triple H is reportedly already planning big things for the group.
In the wake of the 2023 Draft, it was reported that Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Dexter Lumis would be reforming The Way after they were all drafted to Raw.
After Gargano and LeRae aligned in early 2020, the ‘power-couple’ later recruited their ‘children’ Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell to complete the collective. Lumis then became part of the family via his relationship with Hartwell, which resulted in one of the most feel-good weddings in recent WWE history.
The group later broke apart as Theory moved to the main roster and Gargano and LeRae took a break from the ring.
On Raw, the group minus Austin Theory who has been drafted to SmackDown, got into a confrontation with Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green. The pair had been going around the building trying to get signatures on a petition to grant them a rematch for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Interestingly, in the segment, Gargano said that “he” is coming back soon and it is “going to be great.” Although the former NXT Champion was excited, LeRae was much less amused. Fans have speculated that this mystery person will be Tommaso Ciampa.
Ciampa has been out of action since September when he suffered a hip injury. Speaking in March, Gargano said that his friend was hoping to be back in action soon.
Shortly after the reunion, it was reported by WRKD Wrestling that Triple H has big plans for the group. The Chief Content Officer previously worked with all four stars in NXT.
“As promised last week, The Way have officially reunited on tonight’s #WWERaw. Triple H and company have big plans for all of those involved.”
Triple H High On Another NXT Call-Up
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Triple H has high hopes for Cameron Grimes who was also recently called up to the main roster from NXT. Grimes made his first appearance on the May 5th episode of SmackDown and will make his in-ring debut against Baron Corbin on May 12th.
