Triple H Favourite “Next In Line” For World Title Run

Since Triple H assumed creative control of WWE, Gunther has been heavily featured.

While he won the Intercontinental Title at the tail end of Vince McMahon’s time running the main roster, his status has grown immeasurably with Triple H at the helm. The Austrian star remains undefeated in singles action, while his match with Sheamus at Clash at the Castle will be remembered by fans for years to come.

Unsurprisingly, it has now been reported that not only is Triple H a massive fan of the star, many of the crew backstage feel the same. In a new report via Give Me Sport, Wrestle Votes stated that The Game, Road Dogg, and Jason Jordan are all high on the Intercontinental Champion.

“Triple H loves him. They all love him ever since he came into his own at Clash at the Castle. I’m not just talking about Triple H, Road Dogg is big on him, Jason Jordan really likes him.”

Gunther’s popularity with those backstage could see him win the World Championship before all is said and done in 2023.

“Once WWE gets two World titles, you double the amount of people in the main event. Gunther is ready to step up. I expect by the summer to see him at the top of the card. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins a World title. He might be next in line.”

Update On Triple H Being Disappointed With Returning WWE Stars

Since Triple H assumed creative control of the main roster one of the main features of his stewardship has been the re-signing of a number of former stars he worked with in NXT. This has included Hit Row, minus Strickland. Back in December, it was reported that The Game was “underwhelmed” by some of the performances from talents he had brought back.

However, a fresh report has claimed that this isn’t the case, and many of the signings were about adding depth to the Raw and SmackDown rosters.
