Triple H Expected To Depart WWE Soon; Veteran Predicts The Rock’s Close Aid As Replacement

WWE COO Triple H Threatened To Quit When Forced To Work With

A wrestling veteran believes Triple H is very close to departing WWE.

A part of the wrestling promotion since the mid-90s, Triple H is arguably one of the most experienced and creative minds in the business. Currently serving as the Chief Content Officer, WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman believes his time might be coming up soon due to alleged ongoing power struggles within the promotion.

During his recent appearance on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, Coachman opened up on Paul Levesque’s rumored departure. The former backstage announcer started off by explaining the existing power hierarchy in TKO and how The Rock currently holds a much more powerful position than The Game. He further discussed that the TKO Director of the Board and The King of Kings do not possibly get along.

“On the report, Ari (Emanuel) was the number one guy; he is the guy. He also runs two or three other things that they run. It gets very complicated.

For this discussion, The Rock got anywhere from 30 to 45 million in the last year to come back and be on the board of directors. So, on their financials, you’ve got Ari, you’ve got another name, and then you’ve got Vince McMahon…Vince still holds the third most stock options or pieces of stock in the company.

Then you keep going down; there’s only about eight names on the list, and there’s Dwayne Johnson. And then, you got Nick Khan, the president of WWE. The one name that is not on there, Paul Levesque, Triple H. And from my time there and my time with the Rock, I know for a fact that he does not get along with Triple H. That does not go away. They’ve always been butting heads for years and years for a lot of different reasons. And I actually like Triple H a lot.”

He disclosed that sources close to him had informed him of an ongoing power struggle.

“The reason I said on my show there’s a big power struggle, well, first of all, I talked to two people close to the situation. I can’t tell you who they are, but I’ve got really good intel. (…) If you look at everything that I just laid out for you on your show, then you can see that I’m right and we predicted that within 18 months, Triple H will not be running WWE anymore.”

Jonathan Coachman Predicts The Likely Replacement For Triple H

On the same Two Man Power Trip podcast, Jonathan Coachman further opened up on the promotion’s upcoming future. While discussing the ongoing power struggle in the company, the veteran shared the possible replacement for The Cerebral Assassin once he’s gone.

“Here’s my prediction, is that the Rock wants Brian Gewirtz to be the head of creative again. I actually sublet my very first apartment when I moved to Stamford, Connecticut, back in 2000. It was his apartment. So, I’ve known him for a really long time and I’ve got a lot of respect for his creativity, but there’s no way that Brian could come back. He used to be the head writer of Raw.”

Given the considerable promotional influence wielded by The Final Boss, Coachman posited a strong likelihood of The Rock appointing Brian Gewirtz as the replacement.

In other news: The Rock recently had a fallout with WWE.
