Triple H Confirms Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Status Following SummerSlam Appearance

Triple H has addressed Stephanie McMahon’sWWE status after the former Chairwoman appeared at SummerSlam.

Stephanie McMahon returned to WWE TV as part of the audience for the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony, 13 months after stepping down as the company’s Chairwoman, a position she held in the months following Vince McMahon’s first ‘retirement’ in 2022. She followed up the appearance at WrestleMania 40, where she proclaimed that WWE had entered the Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque Era.

At SummerSlam, McMahon appeared again, this time being at ringside for the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Does Stephanie McMahon Have A Role In The Company?

At the SummerSlam post-show, her husband, Triple H, was asked if McMahon had an official role in the company. The Chief Content Officer explained that she is just enjoying watching the shows again.

“She does not have an official role right now, but I can tell you this, she loves this, absolutely loves it. Sometimes harder to love it, sometimes easy to love it. It’s easy to love it again for her. She’s enjoying watching it. She’s enjoying coming to the shows, seeing everybody in the back, she loves it.”

He went on to say that McMahon is currently focused on raising the pair’s children as they “get too old too fast.” He did note that he expects to “see her around” the company in future.

“If I’m the little kid booking or writing or however you want to say it, but she’s sitting next to me, a little kid, enjoying it and loving it. It’s been her whole life, since she was little. No official role right now. Right now, her official role is enjoying our kids getting too old too fast, but we’ll see what the future holds. I would expect to see her around, because she loves it and she’s enjoying being around it again.”

With Shane McMahon also making headlines in the past few days, the backstage reaction has also been revealed to the recent meeting.

In a new interview, one WWE star recalls being told by Stephanie McMahon “Be as weird as you can be.”
