Triple H Confirms In-Ring Future At WWE Night Of Champions

Triple H WWE

Triple H has spilled the beans on his in-ring future.

Sidelined from in-ring action for several years now, Triple H currently serves as WWE’s Chief Content Officer and essentially maintains a backstage role. The Game was last seen in action at a 2019 live house show in Japan, while his last televised singles bout was against Randy Orton in Saudi Arabia the same year.

Recently, during the Night of Champions post-show press conference, the crowd erupted, demanding a last match from The Cerebral Assassin. However, the Hall of Famer shared a disappointing update while revealing the status of his in-ring future:

Trust me there ain’t one more match left in this. You know how they say, ‘If it’s the last thing I do. It would be the last thing I do.'”

Arguably one of the greatest performers of all time, at 55 years old, Triple H is long past his peak, and while unfortunate for the fans, The Game might have announced his official retirement tonight.

Wrestling Veteran Believes Triple H Might Soon Depart WWE

A few weeks ago, during his appearance on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, Jonathan Coachman opened up on Triple H’s rumored WWE departure. The wrestling veteran discussed the existing power hierarchy in TKO and how The Rock currently holds a much more powerful position than The Game. He also suggested that the two might not get along.

On the report, Ari [Emanuel] was the number one guy; he is the guy. He also runs two or three other things that they run. It gets very complicated.

For this discussion, The Rock got anywhere from 30 to 45 million in the last year to come back and be on the board of directors. So, on their financials, you’ve got Ari, you’ve got another name, and then you’ve got Vince McMahon…Vince still holds the third most stock options or pieces of stock in the company.

Then you keep going down; there’s only about eight names on the list, and there’s Dwayne Johnson. And then, you got Nick Khan, the president of WWE. The one name that is not on there, Paul Levesque, Triple H. And from my time there and my time with the Rock, I know for a fact that he does not get along with Triple H. That does not go away. They’ve always been butting heads for years and years for a lot of different reasons. And I actually like Triple H a lot.”

“The reason I said on my show there’s a big power struggle, well, first of all, I talked to two people close to the situation. I can’t tell you who they are, but I’ve got really good intel. […] If you look at everything that I just laid out for you on your show, then you can see that I’m right and we predicted that within 18 months, Triple H will not be running WWE anymore.”

In other news: CM Punk was recently screwed at Night of Champions.
