Triple H Compares John Cena Heel Turn To Iconic Movie Villain

Triple H has once again spoken about John Cena’s turn to the dark side.

WWE Elimination Chamber was the day that saw something that very few predicted, Cena turning heel after 20 years. Attacking Cody Rhodes and siding with The Rock, the 16-time World Champion is going into his WrestleMania match with Rhodes with a whole new mindset.

Easily the biggest moment to happen under the modern era of the company, the Chief Content Officer spoke about Cena while appearing as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The soon-to-be two-time Hall of Famer first addressed the lengthy Cena farewell tour:

“So John Cena, who is the ultimate good guy and has been. His whole mantra his entire career [has been] Hustle Loyalty Respect. He has just been the ultimate good guy, as a human being has done more wishes for Make-A-Wish than any other celebrity in history.

He’s incredible. But the challenge on this is he’s in his retirement run. He will end his in-ring career in December with WWE. So he’s kind of got this year as his farewell.”

Continuing, Triple H commented on the heel turn and how he sees Cena as Darth Vader:

“He came back and turned into a bad guy. In our business he turned heel and he beat the crap out of Cody Rhodes with the Rock and with Travis Scott. It’s amazing to see that transformation of John from the most beloved character in WWE to just Darth Vader. They hate him and he is working very hard to make them hate him.”

Triple H Looks Back On His Own WrestleMania Memories

Also during the interview, the 14-time World Champion looked back at the early stages of his pro wrestling career. While discussing one WrestleMania match, Triple H shared a surprising opinion.

In other WWE news, Adam Cole has looked back on his NXT debut and how it could have gone horribly wrong.
