With Sasha Banks and Naomi yet to return to WWE, Triple H has offered an update on the situation regarding The Boss and what it might take for her to come back.
Sasha Banks and Naomi haven’t been seen on WWE television since they walked out of the May 16th episode of Monday Night Raw while it was in progress.
It was later revealed that both women had been fined and suspended, and stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Titles. While the pair were removed from WWE’s internal roster and their merchandise was pulled from the company’s online store, it was even suggested that Banks was working to free herself from her WWE contract.
However, in recent weeks there have been reports that the stars could be returning to the company imminently. Although, despite the reports, neither woman has yet to return to WWE television.
Ahead of WWE Clash At The Castle, Triple H sat down with Ariel Helwani to discuss a wide range of topics including the WWE future of Sasha Banks. During the conversation, Triple H admitted that there had been a breakdown of communication between Banks and WWE. Despite this, he explained that much of what happens next is up to Banks and what she wants to do.
“Time will tell. Time will tell. In a lot of ways, communication breakdowns are terrible. There was a communication breakdown there, for whatever reason. Starting back up that communication, it’s not a difficult process, but it’s a process, and you have to go through the process. She’s an unbelievably talented young woman that can do just about anything she wants. It just comes down to, what does she want to do now with her life, her career, whatever that is.
The passion, clearly, for what we do, there is a passion for other things as well. It comes down to what does she want to do? It has to be right for her. It has to be right for everybody. She is, as you’ve seen over the course of her career of coming into the PC [Performance Center] at NXT, is an unbelievable performer that I believe in with everything I have. That is one of the biggest stars in our business. It’s just what she wants to do.”
WWE are currently preparing to host it’s biggest event in the United Kingdom in three decades on September 3rd, it remains to be seen whether Sasha Banks or Naomi will be in attendance.
