Triple H dropped some big news on the upcoming WWE Worlds Collide 2025 event.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, announced the main event for the much-anticipated show. The next Worlds Collide edition will be an inter-promotional event with AAA, a company recently acquired by the WWE.
Chad Gable will go head-to-head with El Hijo Del Vikingo in what promises to be a monumental clash. The Game took to X (FKA Twitter) to drop this news, along with showing the poster for the event.

Vikingo has been one of the most spoken about luchadores in recent times, and made an appearance at WrestleMania 41 when news of the AAA acquisition was first made public.
The poster also features the legendary Rey Mysterio, Legado Del Fantasma, NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, and the aforementioned Gable. What stood out to most fans is the inclusion of NXT stars such as Lola Vice and Je’Von Evans.
NXT talent being added to the card opens up plenty of cross-promotional storylines.
El Grande Americano’s Angle Nixed By WWE
WCW Legend Konnan recently spoke about how WWE cancelled an angle where he would have been involved with El Grande Americano. Could this angle still be pulled off, as Gable, who suspiciously resembles El Grande, is involved in the main event?
With the event slated to happen on the same day as Money In The Bank, it could also be a possibility to see some of the Mexican promotion’s stars appear at the PLE. Along with this, WWE stars are also slated to appear at the TripleMania Regia show along with TNA talent.
Worlds Collide seems to be quite the pivotal event, which could lead up to multiple new storylines across all three promotions. It indeed is an exciting time to be a pro-wrestling fan!
