Triple H Addresses “Temporary Hearing Loss” Warning At WWE Live Event

Triple H has addressed a warning some WWE fans received about potential hearing loss at a recent live event!

Last night’s edition of SmackDown made history as the first SmackDown ever to take place in France, ahead of the country’s first-ever WWE Premium Live Event this weekend: WWE Backlash France.

Since the show aired, many have taken to social media to praise the crowd for how loud they were throughout the show. This includes Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who noted he couldn’t hear himself or AJ Styles during their segment because of the noise in the arena.

The crowd were so vocal that some fans in attendance received warnings from their smart devices, noting that the noise level had reached 100 decibels which could cause “temporary hearing loss” if exposed to it for several minutes.

In a new video posted to his X account ahead of Backlash, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque addressed the warnings and explained why they are actually a good sign for the company!

We just needed to be in France and the fan base here is just ravenous for it. Took us a little bit but here we are. Last night was the example, for Smackdown, of when you pack that many people into a building like this, you can tell it’s going to be loud.

People are getting alerts on their phones and their watches, telling them that the decibel level is too high and that they risk permanent hearing damage. That’s a good sign for us.

I would imagine that if they were excited last night, tonight for backlash should be just off the chart good. I think they’re going to bring every bit of that excitement, they’re going to bring energy, they’re going to bring their chants, they’re gonna bring their songs. They’re gonna bring all of it and it’s gonna be glorious.

How Loud Is A WWE Live Event?

Noise levels at WWE live events can reach up to and even over 100 decibels, as seen by the warnings some fans received during SmackDown in France. Noise level warnings aren’t entirely uncommon at WWE Live events, however, due to the noise from entrance music, crowd reactions and live promos.

At WWE’s latest live event in Belfast, Northern Ireland last month, for example, one fan on social media noted that they also received a noise level warning on their smartwatch.
