Two months after officially confirming her WWE departure, Trinity (formerly known as Naomi) seems to be enjoying herself as part of Impact Wrestling’s roster.
Trinity made her debut on the May 4th edition of Impact, immediately stating that she had her eyes set on the Impact Knockouts World Championship. Though she hasn’t got her shot yet, Trinity will be competing against Gisele Shaw at Impact Wrestling‘s upcoming Under Siege event, which she commented on this week.
Trinity Tips IMPACT Under Siege To Be “One For The Books”
Appearing on Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz, Trinity spoke positively about her upcoming appearance at Under Siege.
“This will be my first pay-per-view in a very long time, so I am extremely excited. I’m extremely pumped about my opponent, Gisele Shaw, ‘The Quintessential Diva’. I think we have a very similar style, and it’s gonna be a very competitive match, and I’m really excited about that. I think it’s gonna be one hell of a show. I think this one’s gonna be one for the books, my first pay-per-view with IMPACT.”
Later in the interview, Trinity was asked about the Impact Knockouts World Championship and whether winning the gold is her intention.
“Eventually, yes. But I’m still new in IMPACT and feeling things out and learning my opponents and learning the environment, and it’s been very welcoming, it’s been very exciting. I’m very happy there. But yeah, the ultimate goal is to be champion at some point. However long it takes me to get there, I’m gonna make it happen.”
Trinity opened up about her WWE departure last month, calling the move “a blessing in disguise.” She wrestled her first match since leaving WWE on May 18th, successfully defeating KiLynn King in an 11-minute bout on Impact.
Now establishing herself as a prominent star of the Knockouts division, Trinity will attempt to defeat Gisele Shaw on May 26th to bring herself one step closer to championship gold.
