WWE paid an emotional tribute to both Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt on SmackDown.
It’s been a tough week for wrestling fans around the world with the sad deaths of Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt just 24 hours apart. As a result, Friday Night SmackDown from Louisville, Kentucky took on a sombre mood.
The show opened with the entire WWE roster and Erick Rowan gathered at the top of the ramp as Michael Cole announced a ten-bell salute. This was followed by the airing of a video package paying tribute to Wyatt — real name Windham Rotunda — who was just 36 years old when he sadly passed away on August 24th. The segment ended with Wyatt’s famous rocking chair alone in the spotlight.
