Trent Seven has promised to address fans on June 16th amid speculation that he might be preparing to hang up his boots.
Although Moustache Mountain had held the WWE NXT UK Tag Team Titles since December 2021, all has not been well between Tyler Bate and Trent Seven in recent weeks.
The tension between the pair has been building for months, with Seven going to ever-more extreme lengths to help the pair retain their titles. Something that didn’t sit well with Bate.
This ill-feeling came to a head on the June 2nd episode of NXT UK as Seven and Bate lost their titles to Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith in a Triple Threat match which also featured Die Familie. As the bout came to a conclusion, Seven grabbed one of the title belts to use as a weapon, however he was stopped by his partner. As the pair argued, Smith was able to roll up Seven to score the win.
After the final bell, Seven walked out, back up the ramp telling Bate that he was “done.” In the lead-up to the match, the veteran had hinted that he would retire if the pair failed to retain their titles.
It has now been confirmed that Trent Seven will address the “WWE NXT UK Universe” on June 16th.

Elsewhere in NXT UK, Women’s Champion Meiko Satimura recently celebrated the one year anniversary of her title reign.
Satomura’s most recent defence came on the June 9th episode of NXT UK when she defeated Ivy Nile. The show was taped back in April.
The Japanese star made her WWE debut in the 2018 Mae Young Classic where she won through to the semi-finals only to be defeated by eventual winner Toni Storm.
Satomura signed with the company in late 2020, making her NXT UK debut the following February.
