Travis Scott’s Attack On Cody Rhodes Gets Backed By Top AEW Star

Cody Rhodes Injured By Travis Scott At WWE Elimination Chamber

Weeks after Travis Scott attacked Cody Rhodes, the rapper has gathered a supporter.

At the 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE, John Cena stunned everyone when he attacked Cody Rhodes and turned heel. Joining forces with The Rock, Cena and rapper Travis Scott then launched a violent attack on Rhodes. While Cena attacked Rhodes with a microphone, watch, and the title belt, Travis Scott instead slapped Rhodes hard on his skull.

The punch reportedly injured The American Nightmare, and attracted comments from several personalities, including Seth Rollins, who believes Scott has a receipt coming his way. Although AEW star Ricochet feels otherwise. Supporting Scott in his attack, the high-flying star addressed the slap during his interview with Adrian Hernandez.

“No, no, no. Cody got what he got, smacked in the face. You go out there and you want to taunt and scream profanities in the people’s faces, the ‘F you,’ you going to get smacked and that’s what happened. They had his hand down, head down, smacked them. Ain’t going to happen to me though, I’m going to be I’m going to be the one smacking all of them.”

The former Intercontinental Champion believed that Rhodes deserved the slap because of his language, and had it coming. The aftermath of the strike allegedly left the current champion with a black eye and burst eardrum.

While Rhodes has set his sights on The Final Boss and Cena, Travis Scott is also training for his wrestling debut.

Former NBA Star Has Addressed Travis Scott’s Slap To Cody Rhodes

Recently speaking on the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, former NBA star Carmelo Anthony opened up on the Elimination Chamber segment, and addressed Travis Scott’s slap to Cody Rhodes. Questioning his actions, Anthony said:

“Why he slap that man like that? He was leaking. Why did he think that was cool? WWE is so slick with it. They came out and said, ‘Yeah, wrestling is real.’ That was bleeding. That man can’t hear shit. He told him, ‘Make it count. Slap the shit out of him.’ If I was Cody Rhodes, I would have got out of character. Jumped right up. ‘Cut.’ Travis Scott’s ass is grass. You don’t slap nobody that hard. First of all, you gotta learn how to slap somebody. You don’t slap them straight down. You gotta cuff the ear a little bit. You know he was extra excited.”
