Toxic Attraction Out Of Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament

Toxic Attraction Entrance

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament curse has struck once again after it was announced that Toxic Attraction have been ruled out.

On the August 19th episode of Friday Night SmackDown Toxic Attraction stepped up to the main roster for the very first time. The duo of Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne took on Natalya and Sonya Deville in the first round of the Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament.

In the end it was the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions who scored the win, much to the disgust of Natalya who was wrestling in her home town.

However, the victors weren’t even supposed to be in the tournament, only being added in the hours before the show. Their spot originally belonged to Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark, but the duo were pulled from match after it was revealed that Lyons was “medically unavailable.” It was later reported that this was due to her vaccination status, and the show being held in Canada.

Nikkita Lyons has subsequently denied this.

Despite their victory it has now been announced that Toxic Attraction’s run in the tournament is over, just as it was getting started. WWE have confirmed that as a result of injuries suffered by Gigi Dolin the pair have had to pull out of the tournament.

A “Second Chance Fatal-Four-Way” is now scheduled to take place on the upcoming episode of SmackDown to determine who will take the now vacant spot.

It had earlier been noted by Bryan Alvarez that another change to the tournament bracket was on the way.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss are scheduled to take on IYO Sky and Dakota Kai on Raw in the tournament’s first semi-final.
