A new report has suggested that E! hasn’t renewed Total Bellas or Total Divas.
Total Divas premiered in July 2013 and has been a staple of E!’s output for nine seasons. Following the success of the show, Nikki and Brie Bella debuted their spin-off, Total Bellas in October 2016.
However, despite both shows bringing in a raft of female viewers to WWE programming, and winning awards along the way, it appears that neither show has been renewed by E!
Writing in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that there was a “pretty decent chance” that Total Bellas was done.
“There is a pretty decent chance “Total Bellas” is done. We had been told that as of a month ago, E! had not renewed the show nor “Total Divas,” so its reality show tie-up with WWE that dates back eight years and led to an influx of women fans (which softened the blow of the more massive decline of male fans during that same period) for its main programming is over.”
The report comes after the Bella Twins said that Total Bellas would be ending “sooner rather than later.” Both Nikki and Brie questioned the impact of the show on their young families, commenting that they have to consider their children.
The Bella Twins last competed in a WWE ring towards the end of 2018. Brie Bella’s last match came in a six-woman tag team match on Raw where The Bellas teamed with Ronda Rousey to defeat The Riott Squad.
Nikki Bella’s last outing came nearly a month later during a European tour and was against the same woman that defeated her in her last televised appearance in the main event of the all-female Evolution pay-per-view, Ronda Rousey.
