Liv Morgan has cemented herself as one of WWE’s top stars over the past year, and she’s now weighing in on the possibility of facing former Divas Champion Paige.
Paige, now known as Saraya, recently announced her departure from AEW after a three-year run. The 32-year-old previously wrestled in WWE from 2011 to 2017 before a serious neck injury forced her to retire. She made a shocking return to in-ring action in 2022 and competed in 28 matches for AEW.
During a recent trip to India, Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta spoke with Morgan and fellow Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio. With speculation growing about Paige potentially re-signing with WWE, Morgan made it clear that she would welcome a match against the English star.
“I’m open to whomever wants to try to challenge me. I’m sure that Paige wants to take me on. I grew up watching Paige. I’m open, I’m open. If she wants to get beat by Liv Morgan, the greatest of all time, then I’m happy to do it,” Morgan said.
Paige was one of WWE’s most influential female wrestlers during her first run with the company. She won the Divas Championship twice and was the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion. She was also a central figure on the Total Divas reality series, helping bring mainstream attention to women’s wrestling.
It remains to be seen if the former Paige will return to WWE, but if she does, it makes sense that she would compete against the top female stars in the company, including Morgan.
What Did Former WWE Star Saraya Say To Fans Who Criticised Her AEW Career?
Saraya responded to fans who criticised her AEW career, and she said that she is happy with how her career in Tony Khan’s promotion panned out. Saraya said that she was happy to have been able to get in the ring with the likes of Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, and Harley Cameron, and said that even if fans weren’t happy with the storylines or how she was portrayed in them, she had an excellent time with the company.
