One of the biggest stars on the WWE roster will not be a part of the upcoming Raw on Netflix premiere episode.
With less than 2 weeks to go until the historic January 6th episode, fans are expecting one of the biggest episodes of Raw in the show’s 32-year history. On top of the announced matches of CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat and Liv Morgan putting the Women’s Championship on the line against Rhea Ripley, the show will also see the return of John Cena to kick off his final year as an in-ring performer.
Although the show is already stacked in its own right, fans are also anticipating some shock returns on the show with names such as The Rock, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair being rumoured. While anything can happen in WWE, a new report has stated that one star won’t be in attendance.
After being taken out by Kevin Owens on the November 8th SmackDown, Randy Orton has been absent from weekly TV and has shown no signs of returning soon. In an update by Dr. Chris Featherstone, Orton is not scheduled for the Netflix premiere episode of Raw:
I’ve had a bunch of people inquire about the status of Randy Orton regarding January 6. I’ve been informed that he is currently not scheduled to be a part of the debut episode of #WWERaw on Netflix.
More WWE Shows Coming To Netflix
While fans around the world will be able to watch Raw on Netflix until further notice, more programming is set to come to the platform. Along with a behind-the-scenes series being announced similar to the hit show Formula 1: Drive To Survive, Netflix has announced that more WWE shows will be coming to the platform.
