Top WWE Star “Very Close” To Signing New Deal

Top WWE Star

Kevin Owens looks to be remaining a part of WWE for the foreseeable future.

With wrestlers’ contracts dominating the headlines throughout 2024, many top stars have secured their futures with new deals that are reportedly multi-year and with a significant increase in pay. Speaking in a previous interview, Kevin Owens stated that his contract is set to expire in early 2025 and he is yet to sign a new deal. While nothing is official, a new report seemingly indicates that the former Universal Champion is not set to leave anytime soon.

Discussing Owens’s contract on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Q and A, WrestleVotes stated that although there was not a confirmation there could be an agreement in principle already in place:

“I did reach out, talked to a couple of people. Didn’t get a definite one way or the other, didn’t get an absolutely the deal’s been signed, but did get a really positive response that it’s very close if not completed with a handshake. So I’d imagine that he’s around for the long term.”

Owens has been featured prominently in the past few months as he has been closely associated with the ongoing storyline between Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline.

Kevin Owens Issues Statement To WWE

Back at Bad Blood, Owens attacked Cody Rhodes after the show went off the air in an angle that was captured via fan footage. Unable to explain his actions on the next episode of SmackDown, Owens found himself cut off when he grabbed a microphone in an impromptu address. Yet to provide an official statement on the matter, Kevin Owens has since issued an ultimatum.
