While many wrestlers have moved over to the acting world in recent years, one star has revealed she turned down the chance at a movie role because of her hectic schedule.
Rhea Ripley is currently on the biggest run of her career to date. Since joining The Judgment Day, she has gained in popularity with fans, and at WrestleMania scored her biggest win when she defeated Charlotte Flair in an instant classic to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time.
More recently, as part of Judgment Day’s feud with Rey Mysterio and the Latino World Order, she broke the hearts of fans in Puerto Rico when she successfully defended her title against Zelina Vega at Backlash.
While she is currently concentrating on her wrestling career, The Nightmare hasn’t entirely ruled out a move to Hollywood, although now isn’t the time.
Rhea Ripley has considered a movie career after WWE
During an appearance on ‘Wrestling with Rosenberg’, Ripley explained that acting is something she is interested in, but she had to turn down a movie offer as her schedule is just too hectic.
“I mean, it could be. Quite possibly. I feel like if I were to do a movie, it would have to be like an action or a horror. I don’t think I can really do anything else.
“But I’ve definitely thought about it and I did acting classes for, like, two years I wanna say. And I did get offered a movie but I just, I couldn’t do it because my schedule was just so hectic and I wasn’t gonna have any time off to do it.
The star said she couldn’t do it just now as she would never be home to see her dogs, but it is something to consider after she hangs up her wrestling boots.
“So, I’d legit never be home and I’d never get to see my dogs. Yeah, I just couldn’t do it but maybe after wrestling there might be one or two that I could do.”
