The WWE Universe continues to remember Hulk Hogan after his unfortunate passing at the age of 71 on Thursday. However, some still refuse to honor The Immortal One, even in death, and a top WWE Superstar has just issued a statement after realizing this first-hand due to fan backlash.
The Hulkster was no stranger to controversy in the latter years of his career, but many wrestling stars and fans are choosing to stay positive as The Immortal One remains a trending topic of discussion following his death from a cardiac arrest on Thursday. AEW’s Tony Schiavone found himself in a social media situation with an anti-Hogan troll, while another fan accused Chris Hero of celebrating the legend’s passing in another tweet.
Chelsea Green was among the many WWE Superstars who paid tribute to The Hulkster on social media this week. She took to X/Twitter with a message that has since been deleted due to backlash from anti-Hogan wrestling fans.
Political views aside, Hulk Hogan’s influence on the wrestling world was clearly undeniable. He inspired millions and shaped an entire generation of fans, my husband [Catt Cardona] included. We are mourning the loss of an icon… a legend. My love goes out to his family ❤️💛,” Chelsea Green wrote in her now-deleted tweet.
WWE’s inaugural Women’s United States Champion deleted the tweet not long after posting it due to fans lashing out over her support of the two-time WWE Hall of Famer. Green then issued a follow-up statement.

I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I am learning one day at a time and will continue to learn. ILY my PatriHOTS, President Chelsea 🫡,” Chelsea Green wrote.
