Since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes has established himself as one of the biggest stars in the company.
His current WWE run has seen him clash with the likes of Seth Rollins and more recently Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39. However, it appears that Rhodes also has aspirations outside of the squared circle.
It has been reported by Fightful Select that while in California for WrestleMania, he passed through Los Angeles for meetings about potential acting roles in film and television. The has been talk linking the star with the role of Johnny Cage role in an upcoming Mortal Kombat movie. The Miz is also said to be interested in the role.
“There was also discussion regarding a connection to a potential upcoming Zelda film.”
Prior to joining WWE, Rhodes starred in several episodes of Arrow as Derek Sampson. Meanwhile, he has also featured in the reality series Rhodes to the Top alongside his wife Brandi and appeared in the Go Big Show.
Cody Rhodes Wants To Face Brock Lesnar At WWE Backlash
After falling short against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes looked to continue his fight with The Bloodline on the following episode of Raw. However, his plans fell apart when he was attacked by the man he thought was his ally, Brock Lesnar.
The Beast utterly demolished Rhodes, leaving him laying in the middle of the ring as the show went off the air.
A week later, Rhodes returned to address the attack and claimed that although he was scared of Lesnar, he still wants to fight him. The American Nightmare then challenged Lesnar to a match at Backlash.
It has been announced that The Beast will be back on Raw on April 17th to address the challenge.
