Another top WWE star’s contract status has been confirmed.
Following on from the recent news that Raw star Chad Gable is the latest to be fast approaching the end of his current deal, another top star on the Raw brand is also negotiating a new contract.
As reported by Fightful Select and PWN’s Viper, current WWE Speed Champion Ricochet is approaching the end of the 5-year deal he signed back in 2019. Fightful does not give a specific date but provides the time window as this summer.
As expected, it is reported that just about every major promotion would be interested in the Raw star should he reach free agency due to his high-flying in-ring style and previous history with other promotions and wrestlers. In a previous interview, AEW star Will Ospreay vocally criticised the promotion for their booking of Ricochet. In regards to how negotiations are going, Fightful adds that contract discussions are planned between both parties.
Debuting on the main roster back in 2019, the high-flyer has also previously captured the Intercontinental and United States Championship.
In addition to Ricochet and Chad Gable, Natalya is also fast approaching the end of her contract and has been presented with a new deal but is yet to sign.
Top WWE Star Seemingly Not Re-Signing
While many top stars within the company have re-signed and reportedly received a big-money deal in the process, one of the biggest stars on the Raw roster appears to be not signing a new deal. At the time of writing, former Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will see her contract expire on Saturday, June 1st and has not re-signed with the company. According to a previous report, Becky Lynch is expected to take an extended absence.
In regards to Ricochet, more details on the final appearance have been reportedly revealed.
