Top WWE NXT Star Wants Main Roster Call-Up “As Soon As Possible”

Top WWE NXT Star Wants Main Roster Call-Up

A top champion in WWE NXT has stated that they are looking to get to Raw or SmackDown very soon.

Capping off a trilogy of TV title changes, Giulia defeated Roxanne Perez on the New Year’s Evil special to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. The victory followed Tiffany Stratton becoming the new Women’s Champion on SmackDown and Rhea Ripley becoming the new Women’s Champion on Raw a few days prior.

With Giulia known for having great matches thanks to her time in STARDOM, it’s no surprise that the recent signee has been presented strongly ever since her arrival in NXT. However, while the new champion is currently at the top of the division, she also has aspirations to be at the top of the company.

Speaking with Tokyo Sports following the victory, the new champion spoke about adjusting her in-ring style and how her goal is to get to the main roster as soon as possible:

“I got the singles championship belt, and singles matches are important to express my fighting style. The NXT Women’s Championship is NXT’s flagship title. With that in mind, I want to adjust the wrestling style I’ve been doing in Japan and express my fighting style and wrestling style. The championship belt is a ticket to fight various wrestlers, and I want to have amazing matches with many wrestlers that go beyond the limits of wrestling. Another big goal is to get on the main roster (Raw, SmackDown) as soon as possible.”

Another New Champion Crowned At WWE NXT: New Year’s Evil

NXT New Year’s Evil was a very newsworthy night for the developmental brand. On top of Giulia becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion and The Rock making his first appearance on the brand, Trick Williams lost the NXT Championship in the final match of the show.
