A top TNA star has labelled Tessa Blanchard’s dramatic return to TNA a “huge f***ing mistake.”
Last night at TNA Final Resolution, Tessa Blanchard made her controversial return after over 4 years away from the promotion. Appearing with a balaclava disguise, Blanchard took out former Knockout’s Champion Jordynne Grace before revealing her identity to the shocked crowd. She then took to the backstage area to continue the chaos, even assaulting a reporter in the process. After recovering from the attack, Grace shared her immediate thoughts on Blanchard’s return, and didn’t mince her words.
In an exclusive interview clip following the conclusion of Final Resolution, Grace called Blanchard a “complete idiot” for deciding to return to TNA:
“I’ve known for a while that Tessa was ignorant, but what I didn’t realize is that she’s actually a complete idiot. Coming back after all this time, after abandoning this company to try to make a statement and using me as an example. Tessa, a lot has changed since you’ve been gone. You’re going to realize very quickly that you made a huge f***ing mistake.”

Back in 2020, Several female wrestlers launched allegations of racism and bullying toward Blanchard, and after a leave of absence from IMPACT due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was released from the company. Fightful Select have shed some light on the backstage reaction at TNA, reporting that many stars are “in disbelief” at the decision to bring Blanchard back. News of the star’s return was allegedly kept from the locker room due to fear of backlash over the decision.
During her time at TNA, Blanchard made history by defeating Sami Callihan and becoming the first woman in history to win the Impact World Championship. She was holding the title at the time the allegations against her came out, meaning she was subsequently stripped of her World Championship when her contract was terminated.

Her words were not well received by a WWE star, who dismissed Blanchard’s appearance on Straight Talk Wrestling as “a redemption tour of interviews”.
