TNA World Champion Moose has discussed the current partnership between the promotion and WWE and how it has compared to previous collaborative efforts in the past.
The spring and summer of 2024 have seen multiple talent exchanges take place between both sides with wrestlers such as Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry making surprise appearances on NXT and multiple NXT stars such as the No Quarter Catch Crew making an unannounced visit to Impact.
No strangers to partnering up with outside promotions, TNA has previously seen stars from AAA, NJPW and AEW compete on their programming with top stars such as Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada and El Hijo Del Vikingo all making appearances while signed to their respective promotions. Looking back on the multiple partnerships that the promotion has had, Moose told Alistair McGeorge of Metro that the current relationship with WWE has been the one that has benefited them the most:
“I think this is the best relationship that TNA’s ever had. But way better than the one we had with AEW, better than what was done with AAA, and any other company.”
The World Champion also described the previous partnerships as “selfish” before elaborating on why this current collaboration has worked so well:
“I think this relationship [with WWE], both companies respect each other and [are] doing great by each other, and there’s no, there’s not one company that is being selfish. Both companies are doing great. So I think this is how a relationship is meant to be in pro wrestling, and TNA and WWE is doing the best job of it.”
Fellow TNA Star Sees Partnership As A No Lose Situation
Following on from the partnership being revived back in May, multiple stars from both companies have stated that they have had very positive experiences while appearing on the other show. Speaking in a recent interview, Joe Hendry explained why he believed that the TNA and WWE partnership is one that benefited everyone.
