WWE NXT General Manager Ava has invited a former TNA Knockouts World Champion for the next episode on Tuesday in Philly. Not only is the wrestler in question going to be present there, but they also have a huge role to play.
Masha Slamovich was defeated recently by WWE Superstar Jacy Jayne, who now carries the TNA Knockouts Title along with the NXT Women’s Championship. Curiously, Slamovic now has an opportunity to step back inside the squared circle opposite Jayne, on the latter’s home turf. However, there is a twist.
Masha Slamovich Is The Special Guest Referee In Huge Six-Woman Tag Team Match On WWE NXT
On X/Twitter, WWE NXT page shared an official announcement. TNA’s Masha Slamovich put forth an idea to Ava, suggesting that if the upcoming Tag Team Match in Philly needed a referee who would call it right down the middle, then it had to be her. The bout is between Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx) and The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, and M By Elegance).
While Ava immediately admitted to liking the idea, TNA’s on-screen director of authority Santino Marella had his doubts about Masha’s intentions. He hesitantly accepted Slamovich’s idea, and the NXT GM made it official.
Listen, I know the Triple Threat Match is on Sunday. But if you want a clear and decisive winner of the tag match in Philadelphia, I think you should make me the special ref,” Slamovic suggested.
Does it sound like Masha Slamovich has got something up her sleeve? One can assume yes and no, as she has a title match next week. Slamovich’s “Triple Threat Match” statement was in reference to her challenging Jacy Jayne at NXT Heatwave, scheduled for August 24. The bout will also feature another TNA star, Ash By Elegance.
