A top AEW star has turned to the dark side side on Dynamite, viciously attacking their now former friend.
For a number of weeks, Christian Cage has looked on the brink of turning his back on the Jurassic Express. But at the very last second after each moment of doubt, the veteran came to his senses and tried to keep the AEW World Tag Team Champions on the right path.
However, at AEW Dynamite Road Rager, all of that went out of the window.
In the main event of the show, Jurassic Express put their Tag Team Titles on the line against the Young Bucks in a Ladder Match. To the surprise of no one watching, the match was chaos from the outset, with all four men going through tables at some point, and suffering a tremendous amount of punishment.
The vicious war came to an end after Luchasaurus was sent crashing through four tables at ringside after having his hands on the gold. Back in the ring, the Bucks hit the BTE Trigger on Jungle Boy before climbing to retrieve the belts. In the process they became the first-ever two-time Tag Team Champions in company history.

With the match lost, Christian Cage climbed into the ring to console his fallen protégé Jungle Boy, and carry him backstage.
Just as the pair, along with a referee, reached the ropes, Cage attacked Jungle Boy before delivering a con-chair-to as the young star’s mother and sister watched on. The show went off the air with a broken Jungle Boy lying prone in the ring.
Elsewhere on the show, Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti shockingly joined the Jericho Appreciation Society, while Will Ospreay won on his AEW singles debut.
