Top Star To Miss April 17th WWE Raw

Bayley and Damage CTRL face Trish Stratus, Lita, and Becky Lynch on WWE Raw

On the April 10th episode of WWE Raw, Trish Stratus shockingly turned heel for the first time in 18 years.

Earlier in the night, Lita had been found to be attacked backstage, with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez attending to her. Morgan and Rodriguez were set to challenge Lita and Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships later in the night, casting heavy suspicion on the pair as Lita’s attackers despite them insisting they had nothing to do with it.

Instead of calling off the match, it was determined that Trish Stratus would take her friend’s place and fight alongside Lynch. The match seemed rife with miscommunication, and in the end, Liv Morgan pinned Stratus to win the match for her team, earning them championship gold. Lynch, who had been on the outside during the pinfall, tried to console her teammate, but Stratus responded by hitting her from behind and then delivering a Chick Kick.

Lynch took to social media today to declare that she will not be appearing on Raw, likely a storyline response to the events of last week.

“I won’t be coming to Raw today.”

Trish Stratus Announced For WWE Raw

While Lynch insists that she won’t be appearing on the red brand, WWE have announced that Stratus will appear on the program to explain her shocking actions.

“What will @trishstratuscom have to say tomorrow night on #WWERaw following last week’s SHOCKING betrayal?”

In addition to Stratus’ explanation, the April 17th episode of WWE Raw is set to feature the return of Brock Lesnar, who himself turned heel the night after WrestleMania 39 when he attacked Cody Rhodes. Raw will also feature a bout between Seth Rollins and The Miz, and Bobby Lashley will renew his rivalry with United States Champion Austin Theory.
