At WWE Backlash Bad Bunny will compete in the biggest match of his short wrestling career.
While the music star is far from a full-time wrestler, he’s a lifelong fan who has dedicated himself to putting on a show every time he appears in the squared circle.
Bad Bunny made his first appearance with WWE back at the 2021 Royal Rumble where he performed his hit song “Booker T” flanked by the WWE Hall of Famer. The star then continued to use the track for his subsequent appearances.
However, posting on social media, the Hip Hop star confirmed that he’s got something new planned for his match at Backlash against Damian Priest. The Grammy Award winner wrote in Spanish:
“I will change my entrance theme for my match tonight. @WWE, just so you know.”
The LWO Gets A New Member On WWE SmackDown
After appearing at the 2021 Royal Rumble, Bunny developed an on-screen partnership with Damian Priest and the pair teamed together to defeat The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37. The star’s next appearance came in the 2022 Royal Rumble match before helping Rey Mysterio defeat Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 39.
His involvement put him in the crosshairs of the Judgment Day, and he ended up being Chokeslammed through the announce table on Raw by Priest. However, he got revenge by attacking the former United States Champion with a Kendo stick. This set up their San Juan Street Fight at Backlash.
In the lead-up to the match, the two men came to blows at the pre-show press conference and the rapper confronted Priest on SmackDown to a huge ovation from the crowd. Following the altercation, the star was officially inducted into the LWO by Rey Mysterio.
