A top star made their emphatic return at AEW Fyter Fest after 724 days.
It’s always great witnessing a return in professional wrestling, and tonight at AEW Fyter Fest, fans got just that. In a backstage segment that later spilled over to the ring, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford wreaked havoc.
After defeating Anna Jay and Harley Cameron at AEW Dynamite, the duo of Bayne and Ford decided to add to Jay and Cameron’s embarrassment. With Cameron not in attendance, The Megasus and The Bad Girl targeted Jay. They dragged her out to the ring and were ready to lay her out.
However, in a shocking turn of events, and after 724 days, Tay Melo made her emphatic return. Melo saved Jay from the wrath of Bayne and Ford, wowing the fans in Denver, Colorado. She took out Penelope Ford with a weapon and then stared down Bayne before officials got between them.

Considering they are best friends, Melo must have been a sight for sore eyes for Anna Jay. Now that she’s back, it will be interesting to see how she, Jay, and Cameron plan to retaliate and take out the unstoppable pairing of Ford and Bayne.
Tay Melo’s last AEW appearance was in a tag team match with Anna Jay
As mentioned earlier, Tay Melo hadn’t been seen in AEW in 724 days. Her last match in the Jacksonville-based promotion was at AEW Rampage on January 11, 2023. On that night, Melo teamed up with the very superstar she just saved, Anna Jay.
The duo, collectively known as TayJay AS, took on Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale in a losing effort. Shortly after this, Melo went on maternity leave, and in November, both she and Sammy Guevara welcomed a daughter to their family.
Now, she is back in action, and it will be exciting to see what Tony Khan and Co. have planned for her.
