Two major NXT stars could soon be headed to the main roster after being put “on the list” for a call-up, according to a new report!
Various wrestlers from the black and gold brand have been backstage at RAW and SmackDown for dark matches as of late including NXT Champion Karrion Kross, North American Champion Bronson Reed, Scarlett and Shotzi Blackheart per Fightful Select.
Via the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has now reported that Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed are “on the list for being brought up” after their respective dark matches at last week’s SmackDown against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode respectively. Meltzer went on to speculate that the call-ups could occur as part of the upcoming WWE Draft.
Both men have been dominant in NXT since winning their titles: Kross became only the 4th man to hold the NXT Championship twice when he captured the title from Finn Balor at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night 2 whilst Reed dethroned Johnny Gargano on the May 18th edition of NXT to become North American Champion, his very first title in WWE.
Interestingly, the two made their Main Event debut this past week with Kross handily defeating Shelton Benjamin and Reed having a more even affair with Drew Gulak.
