Contrary to a recent report it appears that a top NXT Superstar will not be featuring on WWE Raw anytime soon.
On February 17th it was reported that not only is WWE looking to reunite the Hurt Business, but the group will also reform with an additional member. The report stated that Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander could be joined by Carmelo Hayes.
Furthermore, there were said to have been discussions about the storyline which would see Hayes debut on the main roster. The report came with the caveat that things wouldn’t kick into gear until after WrestleMania weekend when it appears likely that Hayes will wrestle Bron Breakker.
However, before fans get too excited Hayes responded to the report on Twitter stating that he rated it “1 star.”

WWE Hint The Hurt Business Will Be Back
In recent weeks on Monday Night Raw, MVP has attempted to reunite the group which featured himself alongside Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The group first came together in the summer of 2020 and saw Lashley win the WWE Championship, and Benjamin and Alexander win the Raw Tag Team Titles. However, much to the dismay of many fans, the group began to be broken up in April 2021.
Speaking in a recent interview, MVP said that the decision to break up The Hurt Business by Vince McMahon left everyone “scratching their heads.” However, he added that he was working to get the group back together.
