Bron Breakker has been part of NXT for nearly two years, and despite several standout performances, has yet to be called up to Raw or Smackdown.
The son of Rick Steiner first appeared in character on the September 14th, 2021, edition of NXT, where he defeated LA Knight in under four minutes. Since then, he has held the NXT Championship for over a year, split between two reigns.
A couple of months ago, there were rumours that Bron Breakker would be moved to the main roster, but thus far, nothing has come of them.
Top NXT Star “Not Worried” They Haven’t Been Called Up To Main Roster
During an appearance on Peter Rosenberg’s “Cheap Heat” podcast, Bron Breakker spoke about how he is in no rush to appear on WWE’s main roster.
“No, there’s no disappointment or anything. Being a heel now is the best thing that I’ve done. I’m having so much fun. It’s more natural for me. This is just such a better version of me, you know? I’m having the time of my life right now. I’m not worried about whether I’m going up or getting drafted. That’s not something I worry about or think about. You know, when my time comes, it’ll come. That’s it.”
Bron Breakker won his first NXT Championship on January 4th, 2022, defeating Tomasso Ciampa in the main event of NXT: New Year’s Evil. He would lose the title to Dolph Ziggler at Roadblock, before quickly winning it back on an April episode of Monday Night Raw. He has since lost the title to Carmello Hayes at NXT Stand and Deliver, but is still a regular fixture on NXT weekly product.
Recently, Bron Breakker has made sure to distance himself from malicious comments made by his father, Rick Steiner, towards IMPACT Wrestling star Gisele Shaw.
