After World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins took a trip to WWE’s third brand, NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes made the journey in the opposite direction to make his Monday Night Raw debut.
On the show, Rollins came to the ring and addressed his upcoming World Championship match at Money In The Bank with Finn Balor. During his promo, Rollins gave a shout-out to Hayes who was seated at ringside, before again turning his attention to the Judgment Day star.
Rollins called Balor out knowing he wouldn’t oblige, while he also admitted that he won’t be at 100% in London. But the best version of Finn Balor isn’t enough to beat the best of Seth Rollins.
At this, Balor emerged through the crowd with a steel chair but Rollins cut him off. As the action spilled to the outside, Balor attempted to take Rollins out with the chair, but Hayes grabbed it out of his hands to save the day.
This set up a match between Hayes and Balor later in the night. The NXT Champion got plenty of offence in and pushed Balor all of the way, but it was the former Universal Champion who scored the win to set him up nicely for his date with Rollins at Money In The Bank.
Carmelo Hayes will be back in action on the June 27th edition of NXT where he defends his NXT Title against Baron Corbin.

WWE Main Roster/NXT Exchange To Continue
In recent weeks the likes of Baron Corbin, Mustafa Ali, and Dana Brooke have all headed back to NXT alongside Rollins and it seems that the trend could continue. It has been reported that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler could be appearing with the developmental brand to defend their Women’s Tag Team Titles.
