Gigi Dolin might be one of the biggest stars in NXT and one of the more established performers in the women’s division, but it appears that she might not be completely happy with her current role.
After appearing in the Mae Young Classic in 2018, the star signed with WWE in early 2021 and went on to form Toxic Attraction with Mandy Rose and Jacy Jayne. During this period, Dolin enjoyed a great deal of success, winning the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles twice and briefly appearing on the main roster.
However, things changed when Rose was fired by the company, and Dolin and Jayne were without the leader of their faction. In early 2023, Jayne turned on her partner bringing the team to an end.
Dolin has had mixed fortunes since going out on her own. While she beat Jayne in a huge grudge match and qualified for the Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver for the NXT Women’s Title, she hasn’t won a televised match since March.
This run continued on the May 9th episode of NXT when she lost to Tiffany Stratton in the first round of the NXT Women’s Title tournament in under five minutes.
In the aftermath of her defeat, Dolin took to her Instagram Stories writing “I miss being PK.” This is a reference to her real name Priscilla Kelly, which she used as her ring name prior to joining WWE. As WWE isn’t likely to let any performer revert to a pre-WWE ring name and character, even if it is their own, many have suggested the post could mean that Dolin is unhappy and could be looking to leave.
NXT Women’s Title Tournament Continues
In the other quarter-final on the show, Lyra Valkyria overcame Kiana James. On May 16th, Roxanne Perez takes on Jacy Jayne and Cora Jade meets Fallon Henley. Stratton will take on the winner of the first match and Valkyria the second.
The finals of the tournament will take place at NXT Battleground on May 28th.
