A current WWE NXT Champion is being tipped for big things in the future.
On top of having a history of signing established stars from other promotions and starting them out in developmental before a main roster call-up, such as Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode, the company has also signed aspiring athletes who have never had a match before and made them into stars of today, with Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan being notable examples.
Many have already predicted big things for the next generation of stars as a result of their work on the Tuesday night brand with the likes of Trick Williams and recent call-up Tiffany Stratton being two wrestlers who have unlimited potential. According to a new report, another name should be added to that list.
As reported by Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, North American Champion Oba Femi is receiving a great reception from higher-ups on the brand. One source noted that they expect Femi to do “big things” in the company, going on to say that he is viewed as a future World Champion. Despite the fact that Femi has competed in less than 20 televised matches, his development has been a pleasant surprise. In regards to the North American Champion’s immediate future, Femi is not expected to be fast-tracked to the main roster despite the groundswell of support from fans.
