Another top NXT star could be heading to the main roster and they could be arriving in the very near future.
WWE’s main roster shake-up looks set to continue with a top NXT star heading to the bright lights of Raw or SmackDown.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that there has been a lot of talk within WWE regarding the future of Solo Sikoa. Johnson states that the star could be heading to the main roster as soon as September.
Sikoa is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and the brother of the all-conquering Usos. The star only began wrestling in 2018, debuting in NXT back in November 2021.
Speaking in June Sikoa revealed that he almost missed out NXT 2.0 altogether in order to join up with his brothers and Roman Reigns on SmackDown.
The star hasn’t wrestled since defeating Von Wagner on August 2nd in a brutal Falls Count Anywhere Match. It was recently revealed on NXT Heatwave that Sikoa is expected to be out of action for four-to-six weeks as a result.
After losing out to Tony D’Angelo at Heatwave, Santos Escobar was forced to leave NXT 2.0 as per the stipulation of the bout. It has since been reported that Escobar alongside his Legado del Fantasma stablemates, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro and Elektra Lopez are heading to the main roster.
The same report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that Indi Hartwell could also be on the move.
