Top NXT 2.0 Star Injured During Live Event

NXT 2.0

One of NXT 2.0’s top stars reportedly suffered an injury at one of the first non-televised live events the brand has held in two years.

On July 11th, NXT 2.0 rolled into Largo, Florida for only the second live event of their first tour in two years. During the event, Tony D’Angelo took on Cameron Grimes. However, the match had to be stopped early as D’Angelo appeared to suffer a shoulder injury.

Dave Meltzer later confirmed the injury on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio but noted that the severity of the injury is currently unknown.

D’Angelo and his Wiseguys teammates, Channing Lorenzo and Troy Donovan, recently scored a big win at In Your House on June 4th. The trio defeated Legado del Fantasma to settle their recent ‘turf wars’ and force Escobar’s group to disband and join them.
