Top NJPW Star Challenges Bryan Danielson For Forbidden Door

One of NJPW’s top stars has issued a challenge to Bryan Danielson to “make it clear” who is the best technical wrestler in the world.

Ever since AEW and NJPW announced that they would be joining forces for the Forbidden Door supershow, fans have been speculating on dream clashes between the two promotions.

Now, one long-hoped-for match has got one step closer to becoming a reality as NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr. has challenged AEW’s Bryan Danielson to a match to settle the debate on which of them is the best technical wrestler in the world today.

At NJPW’s Dominion event, ZSJ and his Suzuki-gun teammates El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru unsuccessfully challenged Bullet Club’s House of Torture for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships.

However, speaking backstage after the match, the multi-time Tag Team Champion was undeterred by the defeat as he set his sights on Forbidden Door, challenging Bryan Danielson to take a break from playing golf at the “Blackpool Country Club” to take him on.

“Have you got time to take out of your busy schedule golfing with the Blackpool Country Club to find out who the best wrestler in the world is?”

Judging by comments Bryan Danielson made in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, he will only be too happy to accept the challenge.

“But in the back of my mind, I’m thinking about Zack Sabre Jr. and wrestling him to see who is the best technical wrestler in the world. We have two very different styles of technical wrestling. We wrestled in 2008, and he was just a kid, but I was super impressed with him then. He’s grown into this amazing wrestler, and I don’t ever recall seeing anyone wrestle with his technique.”

Bryan Danielson is currently on AEW’s injured list and recently missed a meet and greet due to being unable to travel.
