One top NJPW star didn’t mince words when it comes to Kazuchika Okada.
At Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th, Gabe Kidd faced off against Kenny Omega in a match being widely praised by fans and critics alike. During the match, commentator Chris Charlton made many anti-AEW remarks, including calling Tony Khan a “money mark” and criticizing the AEW President’s use of talent such as Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and Will Ospreay after signing them. Charlton was suspended for his comments about AEW.
Speaking in an interview with Fightful, Kidd made it clear that he doesn’t care what Okada is doing and criticized the former IWGP Champion for going to AEW for an “easy paycheck.”
“I don’t give a f*ck what Okada is doing right now. He ran away from here because he knew the new generation were coming up and he can’t hang anymore. He went to AEW for an easy paycheck. That’s that. He went there to make easy money and he’s been joking around the whole time, looking like an absolute clown.”
Gabe Kidd Says There’s No Comparison Between Himself And Kazuchika Okada
Continuing, Gabe Kidd blasted Kazuchika Okada and scoffed at the idea of the Japanese star being the best tournament wrestler of all time.
“It’s not even a comparison. Greatest tournament wrestler of all time? Come on, man. You’re walking around slapping people on the head like it’s a joke. You slap my bald head like that, I’m going to get up and knock you straight out, you little prick.
I’m not thinking about Okada. I’m gonna deal with him when the time comes. It’s not going to get to that. They want to keep all their guys away from me. They put them in the ring with me, I’m going to keep taking them out. I’m going to f*ck them up and hurt them. That’s what I do. I hurt people. I injure people.”
