Top IMPACT Wrestling Star Working Without A Contract

Most professional wrestlers work under contract with one company or another. However, that doesn’t tend to be the case if someone is on the independent circuit. In that sort of case, a wrestler usually takes per-appearance bookings and works with the freedom work wherever offers come from.

That appears to be the situation that Nick Aldis has found himself in with his renewed relationship with IMPACT Wrestling.

Before leaving the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in October 2022, Aldis wrestled for many other promotions as well, including IMPACT. After leaving, he has been looking for a “home base” as his primary promotion, and from the looks of it, that has finally found one.

However, Aldis hasn’t actually signed any contract with the company. Instead, PWInsider Elite has reported that the two sides are working under a short-term verbal agreement until the formal written one can be finalized and signed.

Nick Aldis will be wrestling for IMPACT for “several months” without a written contract

Per the report, it will take months before a formal written contract is put into effect. Until then, Aldis will be part of the promotion’s top feuds and is alleged to be slated for a feud with Steve Maclin.

This isn’t 100% confirmed as of yet, but if this is indeed the direction IMPACT goes in with Aldis, then that is likely to be the main event of the company’s next major PPV, Slammiversary.

Prior to this return, Aldis wrestled in the company from 2009 to 2015. During that time, he won both the company’s World Championship and their Tag Team Titles once apiece and has won several tournaments over there as well.
