This year the wrestling world has seen several top wrestlers become free agents and now one of IMPACT Wrestling’s major stars is set to join that list.
Recently wrestling fans have seen big names like Jay White leave NPJW and join the ‘All Elite’ ranks. Similarly, Kota Ibushi also left the Japanese promotion and could be AEW bound.
Another name, Nick Aldis was also on the free agent list. The former two-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion surprisingly returned to the IMPACT Zone at Rebellion.
Now, it is reported an additional name is set to become join the list of free agents.
IMPACT Wrestling Star Jordynne Grace Is Set To Become A Free Agent
According to a report from Fightful Select, Grace was a free agent “as of March” having “signed a two-year contract extension in 2021”. However, the former IMPACT Knockouts Champion has remained with the promotion but the outlet hasn’t “learned if Grace has signed a deal since that period”.
The report also states this isn’t the first, Grace has worked for IMPACT without a contract. In 2018 it was “leaked” that she had signed a deal with the promotion, but the paperwork “actually never got finalized”. This led to Grace “working without a contract for several months”.
Following the arrival of AEW and WWE’s aggressive hiring process at the time, Grace went to IMPACT management about her contract situation and was “able to secure a raise over the originally agreed terms.”
There is no word on what the future holds for Grace, wrestling-wise. Fightful reported, she “has become a millionaire outside of pro wrestling via her exclusive content site”.
Plus, she has undergone an amazing body transformation and entered the world of bodybuilding. Grace performed at the Tri-City Classic from March 31st – April 1st and was crowned Overall Champion.
Since March, Grace has mainly wrestled for World Series Wrestling in Australia, where she defeated Shazza McKenzie for the WSW Women’s Championship. She held the title for 3-days before losing it to Steph De Lander.
She also wrestled in the AAA Lucha Libre World Cup 2023, before returning to IMPACT on April 16th, for Rebellion. In the main event of the show, she faced Deonna Purrazzo for the vacant Knockouts Championship.
