At IMPACT Wrestling Under Siege, Jordynne Grace challenged Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship.
In the end, it was Purrazzo who picked up the win after a top-rope cradle piledriver, taking her third title reign past the 40-day mark. The match also held the stipulation that if Grace lost she wouldn’t be able to challenge for the title again while Purrazzo is champion.
After the match, Grace made an emotional slow walk back up the ramp leaving her rival to celebrate in the ring. If fans wondered whether the moment signaled a goodbye, they would be correct.
Shortly after the bout, it was reported via Fightful Select that Grace has finished up with the company. In fact, her contract with IMPACT had already expired, and she dropped the Knockouts Title to Purrazzo at Rebellion back in April. Grace confirmed to Fightful that she will be taking some time away from wrestling to focus on some outside projects.
The report reiterates that the star has become a millionaire via her exclusive content page.
With regard to her wrestling career, there has been interest “from higher-ups of multiple companies,” and independent promoters have also expressed a desire to work with her in the future.
Grace said that she will “be back somewhere at some point.”
