Former WWE Superstar and Hit Row member Top Dolla – AJ Francis – has commented on his belief that he will one day make a return to the company.
At the WWE Draft in October 2021, NXT’s four-piece group Hit Row – comprised of Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis, Top Dolla, and B-Fab were drafted to SmackDown.
Just weeks later, B-Fab was released from the company followed days later by the news that the rest of the group had been cut by WWE as part of ongoing budget cuts.
Top Dolla was talking on One on One with Jon Alba when he revealed that he has had “some personal conversations” which have given him cause to believe a potential WWE return could happen:
“Do I think I’m done with WWE forever? No, just from some personal conversations I’ve had with people, I don’t. Do I think that I need to focus on myself right now? Absolutely. To be honest with you, I’ve been focusing on myself my whole life, so that isn’t anything new.”
The star continued by discussing how his release allows him to pursue commercial opportunities with his music:
“The thing is, I never stopped having it be only one thing. I made music the entire time I was in WWE and I will continue to make music. What I can actually do is go out and get opportunities on television elsewhere. I’ve been in Super Bowl commercials. I made the Super Bowl song for the [Kansas City] Chiefs. I’m ready to tackle all aspects of what’s coming next by being able to do things that I love that my schedule limited before.”
