A top women’s wrestler in AEW would love to wrestle Rey Mysterio if given the opportunity,
Despite the fact that the WWE Hall of Famer has wrestled some of the biggest stars in company history all around the world over the course of his career, there are still many first-time-ever matches available to the legendary luchador, including against the top star in the AEW women’s division.
Having stated in numerous interviews that Eddie Guerrero is her all-time favourite wrestler and biggest inspiration, it’s no surprise that TBS Champion Mercedes Mone is also a huge fan of Mysterio and would love to compete against the former World Champion.
Speaking with Ginger Vision House, The CEO listed numerous dream opponents. While Manami Toyota, Trish Stratus and Mickie James were named as the legendary female wrestlers Mone would want to face, Mysterio was also named as her intergender choice:
“There’s so many. My number one dream opponent would be Manami Toyota, if I could wrestle her from the ’90 or ’92 my head would probably be kicked off to the 10th row, but I would give up my all. I think she is one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time. So that would be a dream match for me. I’d also say Trish Stratus is a dream match for me. Mickie James. I love Mickie James. If I have to choose a guy wrestler, I would love to wrestle Rey Mysterio.”
