On the eve of a huge episode of Dynamite, and just days out from Revolution an AEW star has hinted there could be more problems brewing backstage.
On Dynamite in Sacramento, California, Eddie Kingston is set to take part in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match with Ortiz, Powerhouse Hobbs, Action Andretti, Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara, AR Fox, and the debuting Mexican star Komander.
The winner of the match will earn a shot at the TNT Championship.
However, while speaking to Sactown Sports 1140, Kingston claimed he might not even turn up. The Mad King explained that an appearance will depend on how things go after a talk with the locker room and management.
“I may not be at Sacramento though, it all depends on how certain things go in the locker room with the office,” Kingston said. “Especially with my match that’s coming up on Wednesday, not really happy about it. Yeah, so we have to have a talk, me and I’m not going to say who’s the office, everybody knows about Tony [Khan] but there are others. We all got to get together and talk. I want to go everywhere but I also, yanno, I got to be a businessman and put my foot down at some point. In a calm manner, that’s what I’m still trying to learn, a professional manner.”
In reaction to being confirmed as part of the match Kingston took to social media writing “What the f*ck! Ugh come on really!?!?!” while sharing the match graphic. After a fan said they wanted to believe that’s how Kingston found out he was wrestling, he confirmed it was.
Eddie Kingston is no stranger to backstage drama having been suspended in 2022 following an altercation with Sammy Guevara. In recent weeks the star has hit out at Tony Khan, MJF, and much of the AEW roster on social media.
