A pair of top AEW Champions have suddenly turned face and have allied themselves with Adam Copeland.
Face turns, much like heel turns, are nothing new in professional wrestling. However, tonight on AEW Dynamite, fans were treated to an unexpected face turn, as a pair of top champions decided to suddenly switch sides.
The champions in question are the AEW World Tag Team Champions, the Hurt Syndicate. The duo of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin made their presence felt early on in the night, as they, with MVP by their side, formed an alliance with Adam Copeland.
Copeland reached out for their help after he was informed that he could not interfere with FTR, the very group that sidelined him for months. However, he was desperate to “hurt” the group, and as such, found a loophole and exploited it, getting the Hurt Syndicate to do the dirty work for him instead.
WHAT?! @RatedRCope made a deal with AEW World Tag Team Champions The Hurt Syndicate to do what they to best to FTR!

There is no telling how long this alliance will last, but as of now, the tag champions and the Rated “R” Superstar have a common enemy.
MJF was not happy with the Hurt Syndicate’s actions on AEW Dynamite
Speaking of the Hurt Syndicate and their actions on AEW Dynamite, fans would’ve noticed that one member of the group was not present during the whole ordeal with FTR. Following what happened, MJF was seen irate backstage, as he questioned Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin’s actions.
He was angry and annoyed as he demanded to know why the group was now “buddy-buddy” with Copeland. Furthermore, he believed that the group should be more focused on helping him become the World Champion. Unfortunately, this was when his world came crashing down.
Handing his title to MVP, Lashley proceeded to slam Friedman against the lockers. He then made it clear that he is tired of being treated like a “lackey,” and wants MJF out of the Hurt Syndicate.
