Tony Nese has claimed that fans were recently robbed of an exciting AEW debut after he was attacked by Jon Moxley.
On the August 17th episode of AEW Dynamite Tony Nese was ready for action and even got as far as making his way to the ring, but then things went a little sideways for the star.
Mid-entrance Nese was attacked and beaten to the floor by an irate Jon Moxley who was on a mission to get his hands on CM Punk. In the opening segment of the show the pair had already come to blows after a heated promo exchange and tensions were running.
With Nese flattened, Moxley hit the ring and demanded that Punk come out to face him. The AEW World Champion duly obliged and another wild brawl ensured before the pair two were pulled apart by security for a second time.
However, posting on social media, Tony Nese has now claimed that his intended opponent would have been making their AEW debut.
“You all would be very disappointed and maybe even outraged if you found out who was supposed to debut against me on Dynamite last night. And now, because of Mox, that opportunity might never come again.”
He went on to add that he was disappointed for his opponent, commenting that it could have been a “that big husky fella.”
